The key to wearing wigs is to achieve a natural undetectable look. In other words, it does not look like a wig. The hair must look as if it is growing from your skin. To accomplish this goal, we use a very fine mono-filiament mesh to form a membrane 4.5 inches by 5.5 inches that simulates the scalp, and by hand with a needle a single strand of human hair is sewn in. Technicians must have excellent eye sight for this kind of work. This painstaking technique is repeated until the surface is completely covered with single strands of hair. It takes 25 to 28 hours to completely cover the mono-filament mesh. Many manufactures use 3-4 strands per needle to save on labor, but the results is not as natural looking as our exclusive technique. On the front of the Mono-top, along side the front hair line, a 1/2 inch tape tab is attached to be used by hair loss customers to secure the wig to the head. The wig is then secured with transparent tapes.

With Optimum Cuticle hair we do not do this so the hair cuticle is intact, therefore the hair is stronger.

Optimum Cuticle hair is collected by appointment directly from the hair donor. The hair is tied in one direction, harvested and the result is unstripped hair cuticle in addition natural direction of the hair is preserved. Hair that is collected at random, not keeping track of the natural direction will tangle when it gets wet. Even though some part of the hair cuticle will be treated in the coloring process, hair shaft will be left healthy enough to keep it's original functions. With Optimum Cuticle hair the cuticle is always going in one direction as on a natural head of hair, so it does not tangle.
